Requirement

Alt text for all input elements with a type attribute value of "image" is less than 100 characters (English) or the user has confirmed that the Alt text is as short as possible.

How To Determine

Question Is this long Alt text the shortest possible for the image?
PASS Alt text is shortest possible for the image.
FAIL Alt text is not the shortest possible for the image.

Steps To Check

Procedure

1. Check all input elements that have a type attribute value of "image".
2. Calculate the length of the Alt text.

Expected Result

1. Alt text for all input elements with a type attribute value of "image" is less than 100 characters (English) or the user has confirmed that the Alt text is as short as possible.

Failed Result

1. Change the Alt text so it is less than 100 characters (English) or confirm that the current Alt text is the shortest possible for the image.
